IT Manager – Retail Omnichannel Leadership

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead the technology function of a leading international retail organisation. The role sits at the intersection of technology and commercial operations, driving digital transformation and ensuring that all systems support current activities and future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT across retail stores, head office and digital operations.
• Own the technology landscape for the omnichannel ecosystem, including physical stores, e‑commerce, marketplaces, CRM and mobile platforms.
• Ensure seamless integration between ERP, POS, WMS, OMS, finance systems and online sales platforms.
• Develop and execute the IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, system implementations, upgrades and new store openings.
• Maintain high levels of system performance, availability, cybersecurity and data integrity.
• Manage relationships with external technology partners, software vendors and service providers.
• Oversee IT governance, infrastructure, networks and end‑user support across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology opportunities that improve operational performance and the customer journey.
• Lead, mentor and develop the IT team, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT leadership role within a multi‑site, consumer‑facing environment such as retail, fashion or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel retail technology and integration of online and offline customer journeys.
• Hands‑on experience delivering technology projects, digital transformation initiatives and system implementations.
• Commercially minded with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Experience managing third‑party vendors, technology partners and outsourced service providers.
