Junior Test & Validation Engineer (Embedded Systems)

About the role

ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco, a subsidiary of ALTEN, is looking for a skilled Test & Validation Engineer with strong experience in automotive embedded systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. The role covers designing and running validation tests for automotive ECUs and subsystems, troubleshooting HIL benches and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test cases to validate automotive ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
• Execute validation campaigns to ensure compliance with system requirements and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HIL benches and regularly update simulation models and test scenarios.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python, CAPL or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines and analyze test results to identify software or hardware issues.
• Provide detailed test reports covering test coverage, defect trends and validation status.
• Validate communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and system interactions.
• Ensure testing complies with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, OEM guidelines).

Required profile

• Hands-on experience with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe, NI VeriStand or ETAS.
• Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, FlexRay) and related tools.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including sensors, actuators and ECUs.
• Experience developing and executing validation test plans, and diagnosing root causes of defects.
• Strong English communication skills.
