Local Accountant and Tax Representative

About the role

Join a global leader in eyewear design and distribution as a Local Accountant and Tax Representative. You will be the primary finance expert for our operations in Morocco and Gabon, ensuring accurate accounting, tax compliance, and statutory reporting while collaborating with Global Business Services and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full accounting and tax compliance for Morocco and Gabon.
• Monitor and improve the quality of accounting services delivered by GBS.
• Review and approve balance‑sheet reconciliations prepared by GBS.
• Prepare, review, or supervise VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and produce statutory financial statements.
• Lead external audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.
• Manage banking relationships, cash‑flow monitoring and liquidity requirements.
• Coordinate tax audits with external advisors and handle administrative and legal compliance matters.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or finance professional with experience in local tax and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan and Gabonese tax regulations.
• Proven ability to work in an international environment and coordinate with global finance teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
