Logistics Operations Leader

About the role

The Logistics Operations Leader develops and implements strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service delivery. The role leads cross-functional teams, manages relationships with key partners and suppliers and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, using data analysis and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement and prepare performance reports for senior management.
• Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers and other external partners, and oversee warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and foster a culture of safety and compliance.
• Lead cross-functional teams, develop training programs and collaborate with sales and customer service teams.
• Implement best practices for inventory management and order fulfillment, and conduct regular audits of logistics processes.
• Prepare and manage logistics budgets, identify automation and process optimization opportunities, and develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
• Lead corporate sustainability initiatives related to logistics and transportation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field; MBA or another advanced degree preferred.
• 4-5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations, including a proven track record of managing logistics operations in a leadership role.
• Experience in budget management, cost control, leading cross-functional teams and implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of logistics software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
• Analytical skills, strategic thinking, negotiation and communication skills.
