M&A Manager

About the role

The M&A Manager will lead and execute mergers and acquisitions transactions for ArcelorMittal, covering the full deal lifecycle from origination to closing. The role involves coordinating internal stakeholders and external advisors to achieve strategic growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end M&A transactions, including origination, due diligence, structuring, negotiation and closing.
• Coordinate with business units, finance, legal and tax teams to align transaction objectives.
• Mentor junior team members and oversee project timelines and deliverables.
• Prepare investment cases, financial valuations and presentation materials for senior executives.
• Manage sell‑side processes and evaluate strategic options for acquisitions and disposals.
• Liaise with external advisors such as investment banks, law firms and tax consultants.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics or Business; Master’s in Finance or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of full‑time M&A experience in investment banking, advisory firms, Big 4 or corporate M&A.
• Proven experience in the steel, mining or industrial sectors is advantageous.
• Proficient English communication; additional languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French, Hindi, Arabic) are a plus.
