Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Hexcel, a global leader in advanced lightweight composite materials, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for its Casablanca, Morocco site. The role supports the plant’s equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure machinery complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections and servicing of equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance.
• Recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Train staff on safe equipment use and emergency procedures.
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs.
• Manage the plant maintenance KPI dashboard.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Eligibility to work in Morocco.

Required skills

• Experience with PLCs.
• Robotics or advanced automation systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools.
• Use of maintenance software (CMMS).
