Manufacturing and Process Development Engineer

About the role

TE Connectivity is seeking a Manufacturing and Process Development Engineer to drive the design, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability across automotive‑related production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate new manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost and performance targets.
• Optimize existing processes to increase throughput, reduce scrap and improve yield, identifying automation and digitalization opportunities.
• Support industrialization of new products from prototype to mass production, creating process flow diagrams, PFMEA, work instructions and participating in cross‑functional teams.
• Provide technical support to daily operations, conduct root‑cause analysis using 5 Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC and PFMEA, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, scrap rate and downtime, and drive improvement plans.
• Define equipment and tooling requirements, commission new machines and fixtures, and optimise machine performance through upgrades and parameter tuning.

Required profile

• Engineering or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or equivalent.
• Internship or project experience in the automotive industry is highly valued.
• Familiarity with automotive core tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, 8D, IATF 16949).
• Good communication skills in English; French is a plus.
