Mechanical Design Engineer – Powertrain (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop innovative concepts and design components for next‑generation electric and hybrid powertrain systems. The role focuses on creating manufacturable solutions and ensuring optimal integration within vehicle architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative concepts for next‑generation powertrain systems.
• Design components and assemblies for electric and hybrid powertrains with emphasis on manufacturability and production readiness.
• Perform complex packaging and installation space analyses to ensure optimal integration of powertrain systems.
• Create, document, and present engineering results, including technical drawings, CAD models, and detailed design documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a comparable field.
• Proficiency in at least one major CAD tool (CATIA V5, Creo or Siemens NX) and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Initial experience in powertrain component development and project management.
• Specialized knowledge in electric motors, high‑voltage battery systems, internal combustion engines or related auxiliary systems is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills in English.
