Mobile Core Network Engineer

About the role

Orange Business is looking for a Mobile Core Network Engineer to design, implement, and support innovative 4G and 5G core network solutions for our clients. You will work in a collaborative environment that values continuous integration, automation, and cutting‑edge telecom technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑level and low‑level technical solutions for client projects, covering 4G and 5G core networks.
• Define implementation road‑maps and ensure successful deployment in lab, pre‑production, and production environments.
• Work within a CI/CD pipeline, create test scenarios, execute end‑to‑end tests, and analyse trace data for 5G, VoLTE, and IoT applications.
• Provide ongoing support for deployed solutions and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Coordinate technical activities, manage supplier relationships, and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mobile network protocols, architectures, and 3GPP standards.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and supporting LTE/5G core network elements in operational environments.
• Familiarity with functional, performance, and E2E testing tools.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Required skills

• LTE and 5G core architectures (AMF, MME, SMF, SPGW‑C, UPF, SPGW‑U).
• 3GPP standards for mobile core networks.
• CI/CD processes and tools such as GitLab.
• Containerized deployments on Telco cloud platforms (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift).
• OSS/BSS integration.
• IPv4/IPv6, IP routing, QoS, MPLS, VPN technologies.
• Security measures for mobile core networks.
• Testing automation and E2E test execution.
