.NET Software Engineer

About the role

As a .NET Software Engineer at Forterro you will design, develop and optimise software solutions that support the company’s strategic goals. You will work on desktop and mobile platforms, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and deliver high‑quality code.

Key responsibilities

• Convert business requirements into well‑structured software solutions for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Design, code, test and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and QA to ensure requirements are met.
• Write unit tests, debug and troubleshoot issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications and system architecture.
• Stay updated with technology trends and propose improvements to the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering high‑quality software in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C# programming and WinForms development.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns and .NET framework.
• Experience with SQL Server and ADO.NET for database connectivity.
• Familiarity with source control using Git.
• Knowledge of Web API development, application performance profiling, DevExpress components, InstallShield packaging and Azure Pipelines.
