Network Operations Manager - FTTH

About the role

LPS GRUPO, a telecommunications services company specializing in FTTH networks, mobile technologies and telecom infrastructure, is looking for an experienced FTTH Network Operations Manager based in Rabat, Morocco. The role oversees and coordinates the operation, maintenance and service delivery of fiber-optic networks, supervises technical teams, ensures service quality and coordinates incident resolution and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily FTTH network operations, supervise monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and restoration, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance plans
• Maintain knowledge of FTTH architecture and supervise fiber interventions, fault localization, network testing and service restoration
• Lead and supervise network operations teams, technicians and subcontractors, allocate resources and monitor productivity and quality
• Set up incident reporting and escalation procedures, analyze recurring failures and ensure incidents are resolved within contractual deadlines and SLAs
• Monitor KPIs such as network availability, fault resolution time and SLA compliance, prepare operational reports and dashboards, and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, client requirements and health and safety rules, including the use of PPE during field work

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in telecommunications network operations, preferably in FTTH deployment, maintenance or service assurance
• Experience managing technical teams, field operations, subcontractors and multiple operational activities
• Ability to work on-site in Rabat and coordinate field operations
• Fluency in French is required; English and/or Spanish is an advantage
• Preferred: experience with major Moroccan telecom operators or FTTH contractors, knowledge of Moroccan regulatory frameworks, and experience managing large-scale FTTH projects

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of FTTH architecture, optical distribution networks and fiber-optic testing
• Network troubleshooting, incident management, preventive maintenance and fault resolution
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools, operational reporting, KPIs and SLA management
• Knowledge of fiber-optic test equipment such as OTDRs and optical power meters is an advantage
