PhD Candidate in Communication

About the role

The PhD Candidate in Communication will support research, analysis, and strategic communication projects for Jala Agency and its clients. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in the Casablanca Metropolitan Area and involves active participation in agency meetings, workshops, and client activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct communication research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Prepare reports, academic‑style papers, presentations, and client‑facing materials.
• Support the development of evidence‑based communication strategies and campaigns.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to thought‑leadership content.

Required profile

• Enrollment in or admission to a PhD program in Communication or a closely related field with strong academic standing.
• Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods for communication, marketing, or media projects.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills; additional French or Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in an on‑site agency environment.
