Postdoctoral Fellow in Analytical Chemistry

About the role

The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences Green Process Engineering department (CBS) of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is looking for a postdoctoral fellow specializing in analytical chemistry. The fellowship lasts two years and focuses on industrial topics related to chemical phosphate manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to and advance research activities on industrial subjects related to chemical phosphate manufacturing processes.
• Supervise internships, projects and practical work in the relevant scientific fields.
• Organize seminars, workshops and conferences related to chemical and process engineering.
• Take part in UM6P's collective projects and external missions.
• Support PhD and Master students, including supervising reports, dissertations and end-of-study papers.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
• Extensive experience in analytical chemistry.
• Proven track record of research publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and strong oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Ability to assess and analyze samples by different techniques.
• Ability to carry out feasibility, cost, risk and opportunity assessment studies.
• Ability to write publications, reports and projects.
• Knowledge of sampling, preparation and sample analysis.
• Computer skills, programming and modeling are a plus.
