Postdoctoral Position in Contemporary Philosophy of Science

About the role

The ACPPS‑UM6P Research Center invites applications for a one‑year renewable post‑doctoral position (October 2025 – October 2026) in contemporary philosophy of science. The successful researcher will work under the joint supervision of Prof. Ali Benmakhlouf and Prof. Abdelouahab Rgoud, contributing to cutting‑edge debates on the epistemology of physics, mathematics, logic, artificial intelligence and ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and carry out an independent research project within the listed thematic areas.
• Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
• Assist in teaching activities as a teaching assistant, preparing materials and supervising students.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of over ten researchers on Arabic classical philosophy and philosophy of sciences.

Required profile

• PhD in Philosophy of Science, Epistemology, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong academic record with publications in relevant fields.
• Ability to propose a research project aligned with the centre’s priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
