Postdoctoral Researcher in Biodiesel Production from Biomass

About the role

The African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Laayoune is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biodiesel Production from Biomass. The successful candidate will work within an international research framework, engaging professionally with faculty, staff and students at the university and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimize lipid extraction protocols
• Convert lipids into biodiesel
• Analyze lipid profiles and biodiesel quality
• Carry out mass balance, lipid yield and biodiesel productivity assessments
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present them at national scientific meetings
• Conduct original research within an international framework

Required profile

• PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioenergy, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university
• Strong expertise in lipid extraction and biodiesel production
• Ability to communicate and present in good written and spoken English
• Interpersonal and organizational skills, able to work independently and in a team
