Postdoctoral Researcher – Phosphate Fertilizer Manufacturing & Formulation

About the role

The MAScIR foundation program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to advance the development of innovative phosphate fertilizer formulas. The role focuses on creating efficient N‑PK and NPK blends based on triple superphosphate, combining laboratory synthesis with field validation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and formulate new simple and complex fertilizer products.
• Characterize formulations using spectroscopy, microscopy, porosity analysis, and other physicochemical techniques.
• Conduct laboratory and greenhouse trials to evaluate fertilizer performance.
• Report progress, results, and recommendations to the research team.
• Prepare scientific publications, research reports, and patent applications.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with fertilizer manufacturing processes and formulation.
• Proven ability to design and characterize both simple and complex fertilizers.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing physicochemical properties and chemical composition.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.
