Production Coordinator – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Coordinator coordinates and monitors daily manufacturing activities so that production plans are met while respecting quality, delivery, cost and safety requirements. The role covers coordinating production teams, tracking performance indicators, ensuring resources are available and linking production with support departments. It is based in Tangier.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production according to schedules and customer needs, monitor progress and follow up on orders and priorities
• Allocate manpower and ensure coordination between production lines and shifts
• Track daily KPIs such as output, efficiency, scrap and downtime, analyse deviations and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Coordinate supervisors, team leaders and operators, support training and ensure shift handovers
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures, work with the Quality Department on defects and complaints, and support Lean, 5S, Kaizen and corrective/preventive actions
• Work with Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, HR and Planning, and escalate issues
• Comply with safety rules, monitor 5S and report safety incidents

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in production coordination or production management in the automotive industry
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, especially wiring harnesses or automotive components, is an advantage
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 is an advantage
• Good command of French; English is an advantage

Required skills

• Understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes and industrial performance indicators
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement tools
• Strong coordination, organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure
