Professional Services Engineer – Cloudflare Implementation

About the role

As a Professional Services Engineer you will design, build and implement Cloudflare environments for French‑speaking enterprise and public‑sector clients. The role is hands‑on, covering onboarding, migration, security and Zero Trust roll‑outs, and requires direct interaction with client technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and implement Cloudflare environments, including DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust and SASE components.
• Lead migration projects from incumbent CDN/WAF platforms (e.g., Akamai), handling rule translation, traffic cut‑over planning, staged deployment and rollback design.
• Conduct client‑facing technical workshops, configuration reviews, cut‑over rehearsals and go‑live calls in French, and produce bilingual documentation.
• Collaborate with delivery managers, principal architects and international implementation teams to ensure project governance and successful handover to managed services.

Required profile

• 5+ years (senior) or 3+ years (mid‑level) of experience implementing network, security or cloud infrastructure for external clients.
• Full professional fluency in French and English, able to explain technical decisions to engineers and management.
• Experience working in professional services, consultancy or MSP environments with formal project timelines.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, certificates, proxies, reverse proxies, caching and CDN mechanics.
• Web application security knowledge: WAF concepts, OWASP Top 10, bot mitigation, DDoS patterns, rate limiting.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and REST API integration; scripting/automation using Python, Bash or Terraform.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting tools such as curl, dig, traceroute, browser developer tools and packet capture.
• Experience with Cloudflare services; Cloudflare Workers is a plus.
