Project Analyst (NPSA-9) – Local Post for Moroccan Nationals

About the role

The Project Analyst will support UN Women’s GENSTAT programme in Morocco, strengthening gender‑sensitive statistics to inform public policies and monitor progress on the Sustainable Development Goals. The position is open to Moroccan nationals and is based at the Morocco Country Office.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of gender‑focused data collection activities.
• Analyze and interpret gender‑disaggregated data to produce evidence‑based reports for policymakers.
• Support capacity‑building workshops for national statistical institutions and other partners.
• Contribute to the development of tools and dashboards that improve access to gender‑sensitive statistics at national and territorial levels.
• Collaborate with UN Women, the High Commission for Planning and EU partners to ensure alignment with the GENSTAT objectives.

Required profile

• Moroccan national with a university degree in statistics, economics, gender studies, social sciences or a related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in data collection, analysis or gender‑focused research.
• Strong understanding of gender equality issues, SDG monitoring and public‑policy contexts.
• Fluent in English and French (Arabic is an asset).
