Project Associate – Protection & Assistance to Vulnerable Migrants

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support the Protection and Assistance to Vulnerable Migrants Unit in Morocco. The role involves assisting with project implementation, monitoring, and administrative coordination to ensure effective delivery of humanitarian assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring project activities for the Protection and Assistance to Vulnerable Migrants unit.
• Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present data on specific project topics.
• Monitor budget availability, obtain approvals, and update budget information.
• Coordinate administrative actions with internal units and external partners, including requests and clearances.
• Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, and presentations.
• Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Respond to information requests, maintain files and records, and perform other related duties.

Required profile

• School diploma with four years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in political/social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law, or related fields with two years relevant experience.
• Experience liaising with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other international institutions.
• Background working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, or other vulnerable groups.
• Prior experience with international humanitarian organizations.
