Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

COFICAB, part of the ELLOUMI Group, is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator in Tangier, Morocco. The role carries out and coordinates indirect local purchasing activities and operations (excluding raw materials), such as sourcing, requisition, purchase ordering, follow-up of shipments and receiving, and purchasing contract and complaint management, in line with company policy and cost, deadline, quality and quantity objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide supplier market intelligence in line with the company's sourcing strategy (cost saving, risk management, plant requirements).
• Conduct supplier qualification, handle requests for information (RFI) and requests for quotations (RFQ), and update supplier master data.
• Negotiate contract terms with local suppliers, prepare or review drafts, and follow up validation and signature according to the purchasing authority matrix; create approved contracts in the ERP and archive signed originals.
• Review purchase requisitions, shortlist suppliers, send RFQs, monitor quotations, develop comparative statements and select suppliers according to predefined rules.
• Arrange transportation of goods and follow up with suppliers on delivery confirmation.

Required profile

• Master's or engineering degree (logistics and supply chain management).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Good level of French and English is mandatory.
