About the role
The Reservations Agent processes all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations, ensuring guests receive accurate information and exceptional service in a luxury hotel environment. This role supports the front‑office team by handling inquiries, special requests, and providing clear guidance on rates and policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Identify guest needs, verify room availability, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies.
- Enter reservation data accurately into the reservation system, including special room types and discount codes.
- Accommodate and document special requests, answer questions about property facilities, and follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Escalate guest concerns according to proper procedures and maintain confidentiality of guest and company information.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
