Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a Restaurant Supervisor in Agadir (Aourir and Taghazout area) for a full-time, non-management position. The role ensures that staff work as a team to deliver optimum service and meet guest needs, while supporting management in hiring, training and scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct any deficiencies
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use and cleanliness, and complete scheduled inventories and stock requisitions
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and coaching employees, and act as the first point of contact for the Open Door Policy
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and thank them sincerely
• Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred)
• At least 2 years of related work experience (preferred)
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred)
• No license or certification required

The job involves standing, sitting or walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, moving through narrow or elevated spaces and reading small print. The posting is for a full-time position in Agadir, Morocco.
