Sales & Events Specialist – Rabat Marriott Hotel

About the role

The Sales & Events Specialist supports the Rabat Marriott Hotel by coordinating with group coordinators and hosts before functions, reviewing banquet event orders, and ensuring all guest requirements are met. The role blends guest service, event planning, and operational safety to deliver seamless events.

Key responsibilities

• Meet group coordinators/hosts prior to events, make introductions and confirm all arrangements.
• Read and analyze banquet event orders to determine setup, timelines, guest needs, buffets, and action stations.
• Respond to special banquet requests, follow up to ensure compliance, and adjust arrangements as needed.
• Adhere to company safety, security, and appearance standards; report accidents and complete required training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide courteous telephone etiquette.
• Develop positive working relationships with team members to achieve common goals.
• Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and event spaces; handle physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 25 lb and moving through various surfaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in hospitality or events.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
