Sales & Specialist Events Coordinator – Rabat Marriott

About the role

The Sales & Specialist Events Coordinator supports the Rabat Marriott Hotel by managing banquet and special event arrangements. You will act as the primary liaison between guests, the events team, and hotel operations to ensure seamless execution of all functions.

Key responsibilities

• Meet group coordinators/hosts before events, introduce team members, and confirm all arrangements.
• Read and analyze banquet event orders to capture guest details, set‑up requirements, timelines, and special needs such as buffets or action stations.
• Respond to special banquet requests, follow up for compliance, and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Maintain safety, security, and company policies; report incidents and complete required training.
• Uphold professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide courteous, appreciative service.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and guests, answer phones with proper etiquette, and support team goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience in hospitality or event coordination.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and navigate various work environments.

• Effective verbal communication in a professional setting.
• Basic knowledge of safety and security procedures.
