Senior Accountant (Tangier, Morocco)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to take charge of the financial accounting of a multinational industrial plant in Tangier, Morocco. You will work closely with the group finance direction and play a key part in a transformation project that includes the migration to SAP.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full financial accounting of the Tangier plant.
• Prepare and supervise monthly and annual closing processes.
• Oversee treasury activities and cash flow monitoring.
• Follow up on outstanding customer invoices and coordinate collections.
• Handle supplier payments and payment planning.
• Perform bank reconciliations and analyze accounting accounts.
• Prepare financial reporting for senior management.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with the corporate finance team to ensure compliance with group procedures.
• Participate actively in the upcoming SAP implementation and migration.
• Identify and implement improvements in administrative and financial processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in senior accounting, financial controlling or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, treasury, accounts receivable and payable.
• Proven experience in accounting closings and financial reporting.
• Experience in industrial or multinational environments is a plus.
• High level of Spanish is essential; French and English are advantageous.
• Organised, autonomous, analytical and focused on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• SAP (experience with ERP implementation is highly valued).
