Senior AI Cloud and Security Officer

About the role

The Senior AI Cloud and Security Officer will lead the design, deployment, and monitoring of AI systems within the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will ensure AI solutions comply with organizational policies, ethical standards, and global best practices while strengthening the federation’s cloud security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee AI platform management across development, testing, and production environments.
• Implement AI lifecycle best practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
• Manage Microsoft Purview’s Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and secure AI/ML data pipelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for AI/ML systems and sensitive data.
• Ensure AI applications meet compliance, ethical AI principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external AI experts, academia, private‑sector partners, vendors, and consultants.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in AI, cloud security, and data governance.
• Proven ability to work in a multinational, humanitarian‑focused environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on risk management.
