Senior Component Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Component Engineer to lead cross‑functional teams in the end‑to‑end development, validation, and release of battery system components. You will be responsible for ensuring that component requirements are met while balancing technical, quality, cost, timing, and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SE teams through development, validation, and release phases.
• Define, maintain, and align product requirements and technical specifications.
• Develop and drive component development plans, milestones, and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, risks, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Serve as primary technical interface with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
• Steer suppliers throughout development and industrialization to ensure compliant, high‑quality solutions.
• Manage customer claims, root‑cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Lead engineering change, concern resolution, and release management processes.
• Conduct validation activities and ensure compliance with project timelines.
• Approve and release component requirements and specifications.

Required profile

• Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Electromechanical engineering.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong project‑controlling and risk‑management capabilities.
• Ability to make technical decisions aligned with customer and project objectives.

Required skills

• Knowledge of eRGPQP tools.
• Familiarity with LUP SIGNE Ingénierie tools.
• Experience applying DFMEA methodology.
• Proficiency in preparing 8D reports.
