Senior Contract Manager – International Railway Projects

About the role

Scalian is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to lead contractual and claims activities for two railway signalling and telecommunications projects. The role focuses on protecting the company’s interests through rigorous risk and claim management across large‑scale infrastructure initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee contractual aspects of two railway signalling and telecom projects, ensuring compliance with FIDIC and other international standards.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate project opportunities and risks.
• Analyse, draft, and negotiate contractual documentation and claim strategies.
• Prepare, manage, and negotiate robust claims to recover extra costs or extensions of time.
• Collect, prepare, and manage supporting documents and evidence in line with contractual deadlines.
• Maintain accurate contractual records and coordinate with internal departments to fulfil contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of high‑level experience in contract analysis, drafting, and negotiation.
• Fluent in English and French (essential).
• Proven experience on large infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway sector.
• Strong knowledge of international standard contracts such as FIDIC and World Bank agreements.
