Senior Firewall Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Firewall Engineer to join CodiLime’s network and software engineering team. You will work on automated firewall configuration migration workflows and client‑side implementations for a global customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Convert and migrate firewall configurations into the customer’s security platform.
• Analyse the customer’s network environment and design migration workflows for each use case.
• Deliver working solutions and support successful production deployments.
• Collaborate with the development team to enhance the automation framework.
• Work closely with professional services engineers and US‑based customers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in network and security engineering.
• Strong customer‑facing background with proven communication skills.
• Fluency in English (minimum B2).
• Willingness to work flexible hours to align with US customers.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Check Point firewalls.
• Python scripting for automation.
• Linux operating systems.
• Multi‑vendor firewall knowledge (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Understanding of SASE/SSE solutions (e.g., Palo Alto, ZScaler).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, VMWare.
