Senior Officer, AI Cloud and Security

About the role

The Senior Officer, AI Cloud and Security will lead the design, deployment and monitoring of AI systems across the IFRC Digital Transformation Department. Reporting to the AI & Data unit, the role works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure AI/ML pipelines and cloud environments meet security, compliance and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee AI platform management for development, testing and production environments.
• Implement AI lifecycle best practices, including model deployment, monitoring and retirement.
• Manage Microsoft Purview Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and secure AI/ML data pipelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and define mitigation strategies for AI/ML systems and sensitive data.
• Ensure AI applications comply with organizational policies, ethical AI principles and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external AI experts, vendors, academia and private‑sector partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AI/ML operations, cloud security and data governance.
• Strong understanding of security posture management tools, especially Microsoft Purview.
• Ability to work in a multinational humanitarian environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
