Senior Project Associate (Protection/AVRR)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Senior Project Associate to support the implementation of protection and AVRR (Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration) activities. The role involves coordinating project tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with IOM policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Independently assist and coordinate project implementation, monitoring activities against established plans.
• Analyse implementation challenges and recommend adjustments to work plans.
• Monitor budget expenditures with Finance Unit support, verify fund availability, and maintain accurate budget records.
• Coordinate financial, administrative, and technical aspects of the project in line with IOM and donor guidelines.
• Plan, organize, and deliver capacity‑building workshops for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings and conferences, maintaining liaison with local authorities, partners, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors.
• Prepare correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, narrative and financial reports, ensuring timely submission of status reports.
• Document good practices and lessons learned, contributing to SOPs, policies, concept papers, and new project development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• School diploma (minimum qualification).
