Senior Research Associate – Impact Evaluation Lab

About the role

The Morocco Innovation and Evaluation Lab (MEL) is seeking a Senior Research Associate to coordinate and support impact evaluation research aimed at fostering evidence‑based policymaking in Morocco. Based in the UM6P campus in Rabat, the role works closely with senior staff from J‑PAL, Harvard CID, and international academic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure successful implementation of field research projects.
• Propose and implement methodological innovations in coordination with Principal Investigators.
• Maintain and develop relationships with partner organisations.
• Oversee data collection, management and analysis according to research design.
• Coordinate the design and execution of impact evaluations, including a qualitative pilot for a future RCT.
• Collaborate with senior researchers, academic staff and field teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in development research or impact evaluation.
• Proven ability to manage field research activities and coordinate multi‑institutional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with research design.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French or Arabic is a plus.
