Software Architect / System Designer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect / Full‑Stack Developer who thinks like a Systems Designer. You will own the end‑to‑end design of our AI‑first SaaS platform, shaping data models, state management, and component interactions while working fully remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own system architecture, including data modeling, state placement, and inter‑component communication.
• Design and implement the data layer from scratch: tables, relationships, indexing, and query optimization.
• Build reliable queues, background jobs, and long‑running workflows that handle heavy load and partial failures.
• Make early, high‑impact design decisions and articulate trade‑offs.
• Develop and maintain the web application using modern front‑end technologies.
• Contribute to overall product vision, stack direction, and architecture decisions.
• Create robust pipelines for document and email processing, as well as third‑party integrations.
• Extend and optimize our RAG/knowledge‑base system (embeddings, semantic search, reranking).
• Operate in an AI‑first development environment powered by Claude, Cursor, and Codex.
• Manage version control and collaboration through GitHub.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a software architect or senior full‑stack developer.
• Passion for tackling complex data, scale, and reliability challenges.
• Interest in AI‑driven solutions and comfortable using large‑language‑model tools.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Long‑term commitment to grow with a fast‑moving SaaS startup.
