Software Test Engineer

About the role

ALTEN MAROC is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join its engineering teams supporting automotive, railway, R&D, IT, telecommunications and media projects. The role focuses on defining, executing and documenting test activities for both hardware and software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define test and validation plans for hardware and software solutions.
• Write detailed test scenarios based on input data and functional requirements.
• Update and create test cases to cover impact analysis, functional requirements and test procedures, justifying any gaps and removing obsolete cases.
• Develop test specifications for test equipment and ensure all required documents (SMTS, SwCTS, SSITS, SHITS, SwOTS) are signed and available.
• Produce UVR (Unverified Requirements) documents and maintain a 100% coverage traceability matrix.
• Execute tests on PCs, simulators or test benches, investigate anomalies and generate comprehensive test reports (SMTR, SwCTR, SSITR, SHITR, SwOTR).
• Open and follow change requests according to the defined process.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in software testing and validation, preferably in an industrial or embedded context.
• Strong knowledge of black‑box, white‑box and integration testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with test management and traceability tools such as ControlBuild, ClearQuest and JIRA.
• Experience with simulation and automation tools like Simulatio, E3.Series and TestStand.
• Comfortable working with environments such as Citrix and Traceview.
• Ability to write clear technical specifications and reports.
• Understanding of configuration management processes.
• Good command of English.
