Storekeeper - Food and Inventory

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton in Rabat is looking for a Storekeeper to receive, stage and store merchandise, manage inventory and supplies and keep the kitchen and storage areas safe and tidy. The position is full-time and non-management.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark it for placement, stack it on pallets or carts and deliver it to the right department.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies and notify the manager or supervisor of low stock.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency and quality, refuse damaged or incorrect items, and store perishables properly while rotating stock.
• Follow food safety and handling policies across all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment and drains, and remove empty pallets, cardboard and trash.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and follow company policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Interact professionally with guests and colleagues and comply with quality assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for an entire shift, move objects up to 50 pounds, read small print and work in narrow or elevated spaces.
