Systems Cybersecurity & Operational Intelligence Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Join an experimental, fully remote R&D lab focused on AI‑native infrastructure. You will own the security and visibility layer, ensuring systems are monitored, incidents are diagnosed quickly, and preventive measures are built into production pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Operate real‑time observability dashboards to track security events and system health.
• Tri­age alerts, separating genuine threats from noise in automated detection pipelines.
• Conduct incident forensics on workflow failures, authentication disruptions, and API anomalies.
• Design and implement health checks and circuit breakers that catch issues before customers are impacted.
• Write and maintain runbooks and operational documentation that endure beyond your tenure.

Required profile

• Strong pattern‑recognition skills; you notice metric deviations before alarms fire.
• Comfortable working under ambiguity and excited by “unknown failures”.
• Precision‑obsessed with documentation that saves future operators time.
• Foundation‑ready: basic knowledge of Python or SQL from projects, coursework, or prior roles.
• Bonus: experience with security CTFs, homelab infrastructure, or a compelling “I broke it and fixed it” story.
