Technical Consultant – Mainframe & Modern Platform Support

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Consultant to provide end‑to‑end support for our Output Management software suite. You will act as the primary technical contact for clients, handling incidents on both legacy mainframe environments and modern Windows/Linux platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for technical support inquiries related to our Output Management solutions.
• Deliver Level 1, 2 and 3 support for software running on IBM z/OS (MVS) at client sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex application‑level incidents.
• Develop, test and deploy patches for modules written in COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, etc.
• Collaborate with R&D, product experts and client operations teams to ensure seamless issue resolution.
• Define and execute non‑regression test suites to guarantee stability.
• Provide hands‑on assistance during patch implementation and deployment.
• Author and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge‑base articles.
• Support modern platforms (Windows clients/servers, Linux/Kubernetes) at L1/L2 level.
• Assist the Services team with document design projects using next‑generation software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience.
• 2‑5 years of professional experience in technical support or engineering.
• Fluent French and professional English communication skills.
• Strong client‑facing communication, analytical thinking and autonomy.

Required skills

• IBM z/OS (MVS) ecosystem.
• COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF.
• VSAM file management.
• Output Management domain knowledge (print shop workflows, AFP formats).
• Ticketing systems (e.g., Zoho Desk) and collaboration platforms (MS SharePoint).
• Microsoft Word proficiency.
• Windows, Linux and Kubernetes environments.
