Technical Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to deliver on‑site installation, commissioning and ongoing support of our solutions at customer locations. The role combines hands‑on hardware work with troubleshooting, user training and documentation to ensure a high‑quality experience and fast incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare installations by checking equipment, prerequisites, site access and safety, and schedule interventions with customers.
• Perform on‑site hardware installation and commissioning, run functional acceptance tests and train end users on best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network or user issues, providing on‑site or remote support according to SLA and escalating complex cases.
• Write detailed intervention reports, update knowledge‑base articles and flag recurring problems for product improvement.
• Track equipment movements, manage spare parts inventory and carry out preventive maintenance when required.

Required profile

• Associate degree (Bac+2) or equivalent in IT, networking, electromechanics or related field.
• Previous field experience in installation, support or maintenance is a plus.
• Strong customer‑service mindset, autonomous, punctual and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to handle urgent situations, prioritize tasks and follow structured procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence when travel is required.

Required skills

• On‑site troubleshooting, basic cabling, configuration and testing.
• Fundamental networking knowledge (IP addressing, Wi‑Fi, router/switch concepts, ports).
• Proficiency with support tools such as ticketing systems, documentation platforms and remote‑support software.
• Ability to follow checklists and produce clear, complete intervention reports.
