About the Role
Haldorix, a private startup studio focused on AI-driven solutions for industry, manufacturing, and retail, is seeking a Lead Computer Vision Engineer to build a cutting‑edge vision system for textile production monitoring. The engineer will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a full video‑processing pipeline that captures high‑resolution footage, performs geometric calibration, detects and tracks objects, and visualizes results in real time. The system must be robust, scalable, and ready for deployment on edge devices with limited resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop the end‑to‑end computer vision pipeline using OpenCV, deep‑learning models, and custom algorithms.
- Perform camera calibration and 2D/3D projective geometry to ensure accurate measurements.
- Optimize deep‑learning models for GPU acceleration, ensuring real‑time inference performance.
- Document system design, model parameters, and calibration procedures for future maintenance.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and industrial engineers to align vision solutions with business objectives.
- Deploy models on edge platforms and manage lightweight inference frameworks.
- Implement DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) for continuous integration and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in computer vision, OpenCV, and camera calibration.
- Proficiency in Python and scientific libraries such as NumPy, OpenCV, and cv2.
- Experience with deep‑learning architectures for video processing.
- GPU optimization skills for real‑time performance.
- Knowledge of industrial automation and edge deployment.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills in English (and French).
