Kitchen Engineer‑Technician

About the role

The Engineer‑Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all kitchen‑related equipment and facilities in a hotel environment. You will work independently, responding to guest repair requests and ensuring that all systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest maintenance requests with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of tools and equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually and conduct routine checks.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for all equipment.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate shift activities.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics for plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Execute complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and pool‑heater systems.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Utilize engineering software for preventive maintenance and energy management.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and perform Engineer‑on‑Duty duties.

Required profile

• Strong general mechanical aptitude and above‑average engineering operations skills.
• Ability to work with little supervision while following safety and company policies.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and shift teams.
