Kitchen Engineer‑Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Kitchen Engineer‑Technician to join our hotel’s facilities team in Rabat. The role involves responding quickly to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all kitchen and building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, equipment and kitchen machinery.
• Inspect tools, equipment and machines visually and identify shut‑off valves.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and communicate daily activities to subsequent shifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, plumbing and HVAC drawings.
• Perform complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air‑conditioning, refrigeration and pool‑heater systems.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Utilise engineering software for preventive maintenance, energy management and MEP troubleshooting.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in at least three of the following: air‑conditioning & refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment.
• Basic knowledge of the remaining categories.
• Solid understanding of safe tool usage and local/national codes.
• Willingness to follow safety, security and environmental policies.
