Model-Based Design Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco is looking for a Model-Based Design Engineer to join its automotive engineering team. You will work on functional system models, generate embedded code, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional system models in MATLAB/Simulink using Model‑Based Design principles.
• Create and maintain Simulink libraries and optimized software architectures.
• Automate tasks with MATLAB scripting and CI/CD tools.
• Compile, analyze, and debug C code generated from models.
• Perform MIL, SIL, and B2B testing and participate in technical reviews.
• Review functional specifications, maintain traceability matrices, and ensure requirements consistency.
• Identify and resolve anomalies in models or embedded code, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Use Git/GitHub for version control and produce rigorous technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Systems Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience.
• Very good level of English.

Required skills

• MATLAB/Simulink (Model Advisor, Design Verifier)
• Git/GitHub
• CANOE/CANalyzer
• C programming for embedded development
• Knowledge of UDS and OBD protocols (asset)
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR
• Application of MISRA C guidelines
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
