Deputy Plant Manager - Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

GROUPE-CRIT is recruiting a Deputy Plant Manager in Kenitra, in the automotive sector, on a permanent contract (CDI). The role supports the Plant Manager in running daily plant operations and coordinating the production, engineering, quality, supply chain and maintenance departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Plant Manager in directing daily operations, aligning production schedules, quality standards and budget targets.
• Coordinate the production, engineering, quality assurance, supply chain and maintenance departments to maximise efficiency.
• Enforce Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) protocols to keep a zero-incident workplace and comply with regulations.
• Lead Lean manufacturing, process optimisation and cost-reduction programmes.
• Mentor, evaluate and develop department heads and floor managers.
• Track KPIs, analyse production metrics and prepare strategic reports for executive leadership.

Required profile

• Master's degree or engineering degree (Bac+5) in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7 to 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in plant operations or manufacturing management, preferably in automotive, heavy industry or battery manufacturing.
• Full professional proficiency in English and French.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of modern manufacturing practices and Lean methodologies (Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen).
• Knowledge of supply chain principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisive decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of managing large, diverse teams.
