EHS Supervisor (H/F) - Battery Manufacturing

About the role

Groupe-CRIT is hiring an EHS Supervisor in Kenitra for its automotive sector, specifically in the battery manufacturing context. The role combines field supervision, hazard prevention and contractor oversight, with a permanent contract (CDI).

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a constant field presence to identify, assess and immediately correct unsafe conditions and at-risk behaviours.
• Supervise and validate high-risk activities through a strict Permit to Work (PTW) system: working at heights, heavy lifting, confined space entry and hot work.
• Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTOTO) procedures during equipment installation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with protocols for handling, storage and processing of hazardous chemicals in battery production.
• Monitor the readiness, inspection and compliance of fire safety and suppression systems.
• Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with the Moroccan Labour Code and the site's ISO standards (14001, 45001, 50001), and conduct safety inductions for new hires and external workers.
• Lead daily or weekly toolbox meetings, investigate incidents and accidents (root cause analysis) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Report daily HSE metrics (near misses, safety observations, frequency and severity rates) to EHS management.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, environment, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Proven field experience in large-scale organisations such as heavy industry, mega-construction projects or major manufacturing facilities.
• Professional stability of at least 2 years per position.
• Native Arabic and fluent French; professional working English is highly required.

Required skills

• Absolute mastery of LOTOTO, PTW, fire prevention and chemical hazard management.
• Solid practical knowledge of Moroccan occupational health and safety regulations.
• Strong field leadership and the ability to correct safety deviations firmly yet pedagogically.
