Asset Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

APM Terminals Tangier Med Port is looking for an Asset Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance of Automated Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (ARMG). The role is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of planned preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all planned preventive and corrective maintenance activities safely, complying with standards and legislation.
• Lead a team of technicians, promoting a strong safety culture and safe working practices.
• Drive preventive, predictive, and inspection activities according to daily and weekly schedules.
• Monitor equipment performance through regular SQDC reviews and support achievement of availability, reliability, and cost targets.
• Record, report, and manage maintenance activities via work order management processes with a focus on data quality.
• Coordinate with maintenance planning and scheduling to maximize workforce utilization.
• Manage outsourced specialist services and related maintenance contracts.
• Oversee spare parts requirements and inventory for assigned equipment.
• Support capability development and training within the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial or port environments.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Commitment to safety and ability to promote a safety‑first culture.
• Experience with work order management systems and ensuring data quality.
• Ability to coordinate with planning, scheduling, and external service providers.
• Understanding of spare parts management and inventory control.
