Country Finance Manager – Morocco

About the role

The Country Finance Manager for Morocco will lead the entire finance function, define the financial strategy and ensure the company’s financial stability. Reporting to senior leadership, this role combines strategic partnership, operational oversight and governance to drive growth, profitability and cash‑flow efficiency in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, influencing decisions on pricing, investments, risk and commercial performance.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and scenario analysis (FX, commodities, costs).
• Deliver accurate financial reports, profitability and variance analysis, and build KPIs and dashboards.
• Drive cost optimisation across operations and supply chain, analysing landed costs and operational profitability.
• Manage closing processes, consolidation, IFRS compliance and audit‑ready documentation.
• Ensure corporate governance, internal controls and risk management in collaboration with tax, audit, legal and treasury functions.
• Oversee cash‑flow, liquidity, banking relationships, financing instruments and covenant monitoring.
• Optimise working capital, credit risk, receivables, payables and inventory.
• Monitor FX and commodity price exposure and support hedging strategies.
• Lead finance systems (ERP, reporting, data), digital transformation and process automation.
• Supervise capital expenditure planning, investment evaluation and support M&A activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance leadership within a multinational or regional context.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting and local regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing finance teams.
• Track record of strategic financial planning, budgeting and performance management.
• Experience managing treasury, cash‑flow and working‑capital optimisation.
