Design-to-Cost Consultant

About the role

The Design-to-Cost Consultant will lead cost‑reduction workshops for automotive projects, collaborating with design, engineering and cost experts. The role focuses on identifying savings opportunities, documenting proposals and ensuring their implementation by the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and facilitate cost‑reduction workshops across components, systems and design areas.
• Analyse workshop outcomes, compile improvement proposals and track their progress.
• Transfer validated ideas to engineering teams for implementation and monitor follow‑up.
• Maintain clear documentation of cost‑saving initiatives and their impact.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Data Analysis, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in cost management or related engineering fields.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, work autonomously and act proactively.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools.
• Expertise in Cost Management methodologies.
