EMEA Middle Office Analyst – French Speaking

About the role

The EMEA Middle Office Analyst will support cash equity transaction processing for Bernstein SG’s High Touch and Electronic businesses, working in a Follow‑the‑Sun model and communicating in French with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Process and monitor trades and allocations, ensuring accurate client‑side confirmations within deadlines.
• Communicate in French with clients regarding allocations, confirmations, operational queries and issue resolution.
• Provide timely support to internal and external clients, handling priority queries, group mailboxes, trade status and operational exceptions.
• Process referential‑data and sub‑account requests, maintaining audit records.
• Perform daily exception monitoring, report validations, control checks and front‑to‑back reconciliations to identify operational or settlement risks.
• Investigate straightforward breaks and escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Collaborate with Settlement, Trading, Client Service, Finance, Technology and outsourced providers to ensure effective coordination.
• Maintain accurate procedures, contribute to data integrity and participate in cross‑training and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Professional working proficiency in French and good written and verbal English.
• Working knowledge of the cash equity trade lifecycle and middle‑office activities such as trade allocation, confirmation, referential data and reconciliation controls.
• Client‑focused approach with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate routine exceptions, ask relevant questions and recognize when escalation is needed.
• Good organisation, prioritisation and ownership of deliverables.
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset, comfortable working across teams and with new tools.
