Freelance Compliance Analyst for AI Projects

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Compliance Analyst to support AI testing projects. You will work remotely, reviewing compliance artifacts such as advertisements, disclosures, and policies against specific regulations and providing precise citations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evaluate rule‑application scenarios by matching compliance documents to exact regulatory subsections.
• Write sanctions alert disposition cases with structured false‑positive reasoning and escalation documentation.
• Build compliance testing scenarios, including sample selection, test design, findings documentation, and examiner‑ready conclusion memos.
• Identify policy gaps where internal policies are silent, contradictory, or outdated relative to regulations.
• Document all test cases with verified regulatory citations, never approximated or fabricated.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, risk management or financial services.
• Current or recent experience in regulatory roles, financial crimes, or similar functions.
• Strong citation discipline – ability to pinpoint exact regulatory subsections and flag uncertainty.
• Professional certifications such as CRCM, CAMS or equivalent are a strong plus; former regulatory examiner or inspector status is also valued.
• Excellent written English (C1+ level).
